The Environmental and Urban Planning Office works with building permits, building control, measurement, maps, GIS, and environmental coordination. We also deal with environmental and health protection issues, on behalf of the environmental and building committees and the municipal executive board. We are located in Mörby Centrum, 15 minutes from T-Centralen by subway. The environmental department works with a broad spectrum of issues that encompass people, nature, and the environment. Eight competent and engaged colleagues work in the department for a good and healthy environment and safe food.

We are now looking for an environmental coordinator who wants to work with case management, coordination of tasks, and who wants to be involved in the development of routines and processes. RESPONSIBILITIES

As an environmental coordinator, you will be responsible for and work on coordinating the department's administrative tasks, including invoicing and follow-up. The position involves close collaboration with the environmental manager and supporting their assignments. Furthermore, the assignment means that you will be involved in the department's operational planning and development work regarding routines and processes. You will be the department's responsible for the web and intranet as well as the contact person for the contact center on detailed issues and development work. You will also be responsible for the department's case management system, which is Ecos 2. The position also includes handling incoming cases and supervision/control according to the Environmental Code and food legislation. The exact nature of the tasks may change over time if the needs of the operation change and based on interest and competence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in the environmental field or environmental and health protection area. We see that you have worked for a couple of years as an inspector, and you are confident in your authority role and enjoy its nuances and conditions. You also have a very good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You need a driver's license for a passenger car but not your own vehicle.

As a person, you are skilled at planning, organizing, and driving your work forward to deliver according to the goals of the operation. You work independently but have an unpretentious attitude and are happy to collaborate with colleagues and managers to solve any challenges. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to take your own initiatives and see the whole picture related to the operation's assignments and goals. You communicate clearly about challenges and needs, have the ability to think outside the box, and find solutions to the problems that may arise in your assignment. To thrive in the role, you need to enjoy variation in both pace and tasks throughout the year. The work involves supporting the environmental manager in various contexts and periodically working against clear deadlines while other tasks need to be performed. You see this as a natural part of your workday.
